Privacy policy
This privacy policy applies to the Steennot Travels website while Steennot Travels is in formation and does not sell trips yet. On this website I collect personal data only through the interest list. In addition, visits are counted anonymously (see section 8).
1. Who is responsible?
Steennot Travels (in formation) · Yari Steennot · Lentestraat 80, Ghent, Belgium · info@steennot-travels.be · +32 475 23 18 45. I, Yari Steennot, am the controller. Once the company has been set up, it takes over that role; I will state that here.
2. Which data?
What you fill in yourself on the interest list: your name, your email address, the destination(s) you are interested in, a rough period, the number of travellers, an optional message, your consent and the language of the page. Please do not enter sensitive data.
3. What for?
To contact you about the launch of Steennot Travels and send you a no-obligation trip proposal. Nothing else: no newsletter, no reselling, no profiling.
4. Legal basis
Your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), given with the tick box on the form. You can withdraw it at any time; this does not affect what happened before the withdrawal.
5. How long?
Until the launch plus 12 months, or shorter if you withdraw your consent earlier. After that I delete your data. If you become a customer after the launch, the customer privacy policy applies from then on.
6. Who processes the data for me?
Sign-ups are stored with Supabase (database, servers in the European Union) and the website is hosted by a hosting provider. Both process the data only on my instructions. As long as the database is not connected yet, your sign-up reaches my mailbox by email (info@steennot-travels.be).
7. Your rights
You can access your data, have it corrected or deleted, restrict the processing, object, receive your data and withdraw your consent. Email info@steennot-travels.be; I reply within one month. If you are not satisfied, you can lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority, Rue de la Presse 35, 1000 Brussels (dataprotectionauthority.be).
8. Visit statistics and cookies
Without consent, visits are only counted anonymously: which page, from which website or campaign link, which type of device (phone, tablet or computer), how far people scroll, which button is clicked and roughly where from (city and country). That city and country are derived from your IP address by our host Netlify at the moment of the visit; the IP address itself is not stored. Nothing is stored on your device and no IP address, browser information or identifier is kept; these are not personal data.
If you click ‘Accept’ in the cookie notice, your browser also receives a random visitor code (cookie st_vid) and a session code. This shows whether someone returns and which pages lead to a sign-up. This is pseudonymous data, processed on the basis of your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), kept for up to 13 months and stored at Supabase (EU). I do not link it to your name or email address and do not share it with anyone. You can change your choice at any time via ‘Cookie settings’ at the bottom of every page; choosing ‘Decline’ deletes the cookie. More in the cookie policy.
